Biggest opportunity: Swap “add social buttons”, “follow button” and “share button” for “twitter timeline”, “twitter plugin” and “twitter profile”. “add social buttons” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “twitter timeline” sits at #9 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “follow button” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “twitter plugin” sits at #16 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “share button” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “twitter profile” sits at #17 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

of downloads still active

At least 900 of 473.5K lifetime downloads are still running, below its category: the median Social plugin keeps 0.5%, across 1,276 plugins.

Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Social plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.

wp.org is where the directory puts the plugin for that search. On merit is where it would sit if results were ranked on rating, support and updates, without the install boost. The last column is how far the wp.org position moved, from our first reading in the last 90 days to the latest.

They try to get you into expensive subscriptions. The option to buy is less obvious. Purchase limits you to one year of support and updates. They will let you continue to use the plugin after that, if you don’t mind running an outdated plugin. That’s so nice of them. As soon as I find a comparable alternative I’m switching to it.
