Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value
What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.
Est. annual revenue
Est. acquisition value
No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Thank you for the recent update so that it’s now compatible with latest versions of PHP. Great plugin, super useful, grateful it exists!

Ben Balter has put together a solid plugin that does a good job of maintaining documents for your WP install. The plugin works well, and functions as described. The plugin also has filter and action hooks which allow developers to integrate with the plugin without hacking it. It is also translation ready, something that a plugin must have for wide adoption. A five star plugin must be not only usable but flexible. WP Document Revisions meets that qualification. I hope Ben continues his ongoing development. It’s good to see WP coding standards being implemented. Would be good to see more inline documentation for hooks, but that doesn’t affect functionality at all so it’s more of a want than a need. This is a good plugin with some good features. Unfortunately, there are some very old reviews that don’t paint an accurate picture. Anytime you read a review, look at its age and compare that to the plugin (or theme’s) current development. In this case, there has been active development in the time since some of the older reviews were written (and in my opinion, some of those other reviews are simply not justified).

I’ve been looking a long time for a plugin like WP Document Revision. Still a document management system with workflow status where I can see the revisions and the option to rollback. But it seems that it is not compatible with 4.2.2 because there are no more options to see the logs/revisions. And you can’t change a document online anymore, not with Chrome, Firefox or IE. And the worst thing: you don’t get answers or support anymore. This plugin is so nice. What a pity!

This is the best document management plugin in WordPress. Still surprisingly works with 4.1.

Unfortunately, for me anyway, if I keep this plugin installed, the Media Gallery images do not show up on the library page. If I uninstall it, the media gallery shows back up, but I lose the ability to see anything on “new post or new page” type pages, thus it doesn’t allow me to create a new post or page. it took me hours of deactivating and reinstalling plugins to figure out which plugin was causing the problem. So I’m screwed either way, either no images on the media library, or no ability to post. Please fix this problem. I’d at least like to remove the plugin.

Due to this plugin’s choice to hook into the existing WordPress post locking mechanism for checking out documents, it was easy for us to hook into it ourselves with another plugin to keep the documents checked out when the window closed. More plugin developers should do this.

I like this template very much. The “versioning” is what it makes it great. The problem is, in any organization you will want different people to access different information, and organize the information in different folders. No organization is going to put all its files just in a list…it will be chaotic!

Very nice plugin but I would like to see more options.. For example: I really would like to be able to make a new documents status to be public instead of private. Any idea on how to do this?
