High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 11+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 4.1.42, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

I use this all the time on most of our heavy volume websites and I haven’t ever had a lapse in reliability. You guys rock! Keep up the good work. My only suggestion would be to provide a way to create the cloaked URL on the page that you want to insert the shortcode. Just so you don’t have to leave the page you are working on to go to the plugin page, create the link, then go back to your page-in-progress to insert the shortcode. This plugin is a “must download”!

The plugin appears to perform its design function. I initially reviewed the wrong plugin, so I have amended this to give it a 4. I would give it a 5 if it was slightly more convenient to use. The main improvement I would like to see is the ability to choose the number of links to display on a page for reports (currently limited to 10). Another nice feature would be the ability to export/import the links in some format like CSV. If I had that, it would be a lot easier for me to look up and use the links in other sites, without having to log in to my dynamic links site and ssssllllooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwlllly page through my extensive link collection.

This thing appears to have just about everything you might want in a redirect-link function. If I could find more info on some of the options that aren’t immediately obvious to me, I’d give it a 5-star rating.

This is just what I was looking for but can you add an option to have a nofollow option? That way search engines won’t identify a site as an affiliate link. Please add this.

I like the plugin, it does what it’s supposed to do. One thing I’d like to bechanged though: The shortlinks are created with the wordpress installation url basis instead of the plain domain’s url. That is my links get the form of http://www.domain.com/wordpress/xxx. I would prefer http://www.domain.com/xxx to have really short url’s and hide wordpress. Well done anyway.
