Removal-risk signals

53/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 5+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Falling behind WordPress. Tested up to WordPress 5.6.19.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from. The recent download trend is too spiky to read.

Thank you for wasting my time having to install, check that the plugin does not work, uninstall and delete. Don’t waste your time on this one.

Love this plugin, it works as stated and has helped immensely. Would make it a 5 star review if it had the ability to have a floating header above the icons to indicate to the person what they are for. (we have alot of elderly customers on our website – http://www.azztech.com.au)

This plug-in is great. I use it on every website that I design. Personally when browsing on the web, I get annoyed when a website has a font that is too big or too small, so this solves that problem and ensures that I don’t push that frustration onto websites that I have made. IMPORTANT TIP: For this plug-in to work best, write your CSS with EM font sizes. Do not write your font sizes with PX or PT. Note: In some recent WP updates, I started seeing this error in the background: Function wp_register_script was called incorrectly. Scripts and styles should not be registered or enqueued until the wp_enqueue_scripts, admin_enqueue_scripts, or login_enqueue_scripts hooks. This notice was triggered by the WP-Font-Resizer-script handle. (This message was added in version 3.3.0.)

This is just an FYI, not a ding or bash. Installed the wp-font-resizer. Unfortunately it only increased and decreased the leading and not the font size. Not sure if it’s the version of WP I’m running or the template I’m using…

I’m getting this error on activating the plugin: The plugin generated 1 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin. The plugin was working ok on the old site (WP 3.8.5 and PHP version 5.3.24) When I made a clone (same WP version) of the old site to a new server (PHP 5.3.29) this plugin caused the site to stop working so I deactivated it. Now I’ve updated all other plugins and WP to v4.0.1 Activating the plugin again is giving the above mentioned error. So my conclusion is this plugin is not working in WP 4.0.1.
