   I stumbled across this plugin at this thread http://support.advancedcustomfields.com/forums/topic/text-area-repeater-stopped-saving-after-updating-field-group/ I installed the plugin and added the code to the htaccess file and my problem was solved.    I just happened across this plugin and I’m glad I did. I use ACF for building custom websites and when building large field groups you can run into a problem with max_input_vars and the fields you just added disappear and you need to redo the work after changing the PHP setting. With this plugin, the warning is great. No more lost work and doing it again. This is now on my “Must install on every site” list of plugins.    Helps a lot resolving an issue with WooCommerce of using products with over 50 variations. It warns you when your product details may not update and tells you the server setting which helps for verification when changing it. max_input_vars = 2000 is what you want to set.
