High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 15+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 3.1.4, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated active installs

The public count shows “10+”. Our estimate pins where the real number sits.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Whereas the original is a pain to use (you have to find YOUR preferred plugins amongst a tons of other plugins that you never use), this one allow you to create a new “custom” section where you can esily pick the plugins YOU use from time to time. This way you only have to check the plugin you want to install amongst YOUR list. SIDENOTE / MISSING FAQ : For some plugin, e.g. statcounter : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/official-statcounter-plugin-for-wordpress/, you should NOT ENTER THE NAME as displayed on the WP plugin page (“StatCounter – Free Real Time Visitor Stats”) but instead use the plugin name taken from the URL (i.e. the plugin string in the URL but change the “-” in empty spaces), so for statcounter you must enter the name “official statcounter plugin for wordpress” and not “StatCounter – Free Real Time Visitor Stats”
