High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 7+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 5.2.26, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Positive Praise

The one review here is happy, explaining that the ad box floats and sticks as you scroll and that short pages just need a bit of scrolling before it kicks in.

The developer says “it will fix the ad to the top of the site while scroll down to the bottom of the site after its position at the sidebar” which means that it is a free floating ad which stays in position as you scroll up and down. If you only have a short page or you have made a small browser window then you just need to scroll up and down a bit to get it to “kick in”. However, this is a detail which affects all free floating boxes. You will need to find a balance between the size of the image you use and the text. I have not yet worked out how to format the description text. Again, just a detail. I think it’s a useful and stable widget and I am puzzled that no one seems to be using it! Your ad will have a footnote “Powered by Ad Box from Medust” which seems reasonable enough.
