Biggest opportunity: Swap “email notification” for “digest”. “email notification” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “digest” sits at #10 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

Install conversion
How it's measured →0.7%
of downloads still active
At least 2K of 297K lifetime downloads are still running, in line with its category: the median Email & Marketing plugin keeps 0.9%, across 1,294 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Email & Marketing plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 5 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Swap “email notification” for “digest”. “email notification” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “digest” sits at #10 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.
- Slipping on “buddyboss”. Down 5 places since 2026-09-26, now #17. Check what shipped around then, and what moved above you.

Already a great plugin, but when I signalled the need for an extra feature it was quickly added.

I just installed this plugin. Thanks for solving this problem! Often my visitors are expecting to hear from me directly, so I need notifications to help me remember to check for any pending (hidden) topics. I am hopeful that this plugin will help me know when my visitors are trying to communicate with me using the forums. I also would like to get a notification on the WordPress admin back-end of the site whenever there is a pending (hidden) topic, or a new topic I have not yet viewed. Is this a feature that could be added?

there’s this plugin, and it’s free, and it works. You can’t say that about much these days. Thank you to the developers for the time and work they’ve put into this.

I had a problem with bbpress sending out notification messages to noreply@ address and no forum subscribers could receive notification messages. After installing bbPress Notify, my problem is solved! Forum notifications are sent correctly and subscribers get them. Thank you. This topic was modified 5 years, 3 months ago by Skylabb.
