High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 6+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 4.9.31, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

A useful plugin, but would be good to see it improved more. The location is a bit obscure – it’s under Settings > Chief Editor. But that’s not where you go to see the settings. That’s where the tables of drafts and comments are. A more natural place to have it in WordPress would be in the menu under Posts > Network Drafts. And also to have it on the network menu – Network Admin > Network Drafts. I would like to see it presented in a WordPress native layout, the same as the normal drafts view, instead of a custom table. That would enable quick editing (e.g. change to published). A good start overall for this plugin. I can now easily see the drafts across the network. But would be good to have it improved further.

Needed this for our chief editor to manage all drafts in order to plan next posts to publish. Easy! 🙂
