Biggest opportunity: Swap “contact form”, “form builder” and “spam protection” for “custom forms”, “jquery comment form validation” and “sms for contact form 7”. “contact form” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “custom forms” sits at #13 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “form builder” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “jquery comment form validation” sits at #13 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “spam protection” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “sms for contact form 7” sits at #18 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. How it's measured →0.4%
of downloads still active
At least 6K of 1.3M lifetime downloads are still running, below its category: the median Forms plugin keeps 1.2%, across 1,669 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Forms plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.

Absolutely love this contact form plugin. I’ve used it for years on many different websites, but because it hasn’t been updated in so long, I went looking for other options. I can’t speak for the developer, but I believe the Everest Forms plugin is the follow-on plugin – it appears to be the EXACT same thing just new & improved (and up-to-date) – you’ll recognize it immediately on the backend if you’ve used CCF for any length of time. FYI.

I see that there are people who have issues with this plugin, but I’ve been very happy with it. There could be some improvements and extended functionality, but “as is” I’m a happy user!

This plugin was great at first! However, we encountered problems a while back and got no response to our support thread. Tried making a new form, re-saving Permalinks, disabling plugins, activating Twenty Sixteen theme, reinstalling the plugin… nothing works. If it ever starts working again, would be happy to try it again. But until then, will have to find a different plugin
