I’ve used this to include fields for images and galleries (in the latter case, specific links), which can be presented differently. No dramas.

For a client I needed a way to add more information to an image and display this information in the sidebar. This way I could avoid more complex templates and keep it simple for the client to use. This plugin lets you easily add custom fields to the images. I had some trouble getting the right info loaded with the imagebrowser, but that was caused by activating the Ajax pagination inside NextGen. Couldn’t have found that error without the great support of developer Shaun.
