High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 13+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 3.5.2, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Unfortunately, this plugin didn’t work for me. When activiated, my thumbnail galley was simply vertically titled and looked horrible. Turns out the gallery worked fine when I was logged into WordPress. But as soon as I logged out, I had the same issue (vertical tiling). Looking at Firebug, I noticed that the nextgen gallery CSS was not getting loaded, thus the styling was no good. Ah ha. So I disable this plugin, and everything works fine again. I’ve deleted this plugin and will do it the old-fashioned way — editing my functions.php file to dequeue the nextgen gallery stuff.

This solved my problem of getting individual NextGen images to load properly on smartphones where my responsive theme wasn’t doing the job. Easy to install and it just works! Thanks a lot.

I found the lightbox feature to be more well designed with this plugin than when trying to use prettyphoto with nextgen gallery. Plus more options and optimization!

That’s really cool idea. because most of sites made in wordpress need this gallery. and it’s very useful for site performance. thanks for this
