Biggest opportunity: Swap “email list”, “aweber” and “getresponse” for “building”, “email optin” and “mouse click”. “email list” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “building” sits at #5 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “aweber” isn't earning its slot: it only gets you to #16. “email optin” sits at #7 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “getresponse” isn't earning its slot: it only gets you to #13. “mouse click” sits at #8 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

Install conversion
How it's measured →0.5%
of downloads still active
At least 2K of 425.8K lifetime downloads are still running, below its category: the median Email & Marketing plugin keeps 0.9%, across 1,294 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Email & Marketing plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 1 release in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

wp.org is where the directory puts the plugin for that search. On merit is where it would sit if results were ranked on rating, support and updates, without the install boost. The last column is how far the wp.org position moved, from our first reading in the last 90 days to the latest.

35 searches this plugin appeared in over the last 90 days, 20 listed. 14 left out as unrelated or noise (years, numbers, stray words). 1 of its tags isn't in the top 24 for their own search.
What to do about it
- Swap “email list”, “aweber” and “getresponse” for “building”, “email optin” and “mouse click”.
- One page off on “aweber”. #16 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.
- One page off on “getresponse”. #13 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.
- One page off on “mailerlite”. #12 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.

Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.
Release cadence

Estimated active installs
The public count shows “2K+”. Our estimate pins where the real number sits.
Crossed into this band 3 months ago and a band this size takes about a year or more to cross, so the real count is still just under 3K.

Great plugin, no problem so far. No impact on speed. Thank you very much.

The form looks great on the backend and the frontend. However, the plug-in simply does not perform well consistently. One address will be accepted, but the second one will not. The third email address may or may not be accepted, then the fourth one will not. There is a very long forum with similar complaints. The only solutions given were the disable-everything-else-on-your-website-then-create-a-new-event-on-getresponse/mailchimp-and-if-that-does-not-work-then-it’s-them-and-not-us kind of response.

This plugin was working great and then it suddenly stopped working. I have a “cannot fetch signup form” error when trying to add in new optin subscribers. I’ve deactivated, and re-activated the plugin — same issue. I’ve deleted and re-installed the plugin — still the same issue. Please advise.
