I got what I needed from the free version but as I know and trust this developer from previous excellent work on a different CMS platform, I bought pro to support. Unlike the others, the free version doesn’t take over your site or prompt you with nagware. That alone is worth the reasonable fee. Highly recommended. I’m running a custom theme with a fixed position header and the menu button would not display. Some fairly minor CSS additions to bring the menu to the front solved my problem and it now works great.

In my view, this is the best WP responsive menu so far. It was intelligently designed whit an uncomplicated user friendly interaction. The tool is ideal for the non-professional amateurish DIYfer. Congrats and special thanks to Chris Mavricos. This topic was modified 4 years, 11 months ago by mudante.

I’ve been using ShiftNav on every new website I create now for the past few months and figured it was time to leave a review. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed using this plugin, it works perfectly “out of the box” and is not heavily limited like other plugins (ones that are almost forcing you to buy the pro version) which I love. Well done to the developer, you’ve created a great plugin here!

Having used Ubermenu and Bellows accordion menu before, I didn’t hesitate to purchase the pro version of Shiftnav (same author). If you are looking to optimize your site for mobile, and want to do that in a highly customizable, elegant way, definitely get a copy of this plugin.  The developer himself is a rare talent and extremely helpful in terms of support. Actually, his knowledgebase is extremely thorough so you shouldn’t need any further help if you check it out first. But if you do need help, he has your back. I’m working on a somewhat exceptional case where I have to populate the menu programmatically, and Chris has been very generous with his time – not only providing code snippets but also overall sound advice on how to set things up the right way.  Lastly, the admin panel is very similar to Ubermenu and Bellows so all the settings are easy to locate and configure. Cheers!

What a relief after struggling for some weeks with an inferior product. So snappy and smooth – beautiful! Make sure you watch the training video and read the simple notes to install. A real gift to WordPress.
