How it's measured →1.9%
of downloads still active
At least 400K of 20.6M lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median Admin & Utilities plugin keeps 0.6%, across 4,190 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Admin & Utilities plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 6 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Your five tags are all earning their place. Each gets you onto page 1 of its own search, so none is worth giving up. “coming”, “soon” and “under maintenance” (#4, #4 and #4 untagged) would be the next worth testing if a slot frees up.

Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

I was very excited to put a conversational bot on the Coming Soon page to gather market data about what prospects need. I spent a while setting it up, asked ChatGPT for help when it didn’t work, wasn’t able to get effective tech support from LightStart immediately when that didn’t work, and gave up. It’s the kind of not-high-priority project where waiting for an email customer support reply isn’t worth the time and effort of returning to the project later. A minor observation that is easily correctable: Every time I want to edit the Coming Soon page content — i.e. what the visitor sees — I have to search for where to do it. The tiny “edit page” is visually lost in the Design tab’s display of template options.

Performs as expected. We launch sales of multiple limited availability products at a specific time and this plugin keeps buyers out while reminding them about launch time.
