Biggest opportunity: Swap “video gallery” and “youtube” for “coverflow” and “playlists”. “video gallery” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “coverflow” sits at #8 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “youtube” isn't earning its slot: it only gets you to #12. “playlists” sits at #8 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →0.9%
of downloads still active
At least 2K of 229.2K lifetime downloads are still running, in line with its category: the median Media plugin keeps 0.8%, across 2,321 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Media plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 8 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

88 searches this plugin appeared in over the last 90 days, 20 listed. 42 left out as unrelated or noise (years, numbers, stray words). 1 of its tags isn't in the top 24 for their own search.
What to do about it
- Swap “video gallery” and “youtube” for “coverflow” and “playlists”.
- One page off on “youtube”. #12 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.

Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

The plugin is great, and the free version allows for a clean, simple way to display a gallery of YouTube videos on your site. But for something simple, like changing the order of the videos that are displayed in the grid, it is totally unintuitive, and I still haven’t figured out how to do it – unless that is a paid feature, which seems kind of messed up.

I went through 7 different plugins trying to get a good video gallery setup. So many were so complicated and not very customizable. This plugin was a simple setup and being able to control the css and make it fit my design was incredible! Thank you!
