A simple plugin that displays a customizable temporary page to visitors while you work on your site. Fully editable using native WordPress blocks.
Try it live opens a temporary test site in your browser, which can take about 20 seconds to load. Plugins that rely on outside services or a full server may not work completely there.

I found this plugin via a post from Jos on Mastodon, installed it and a few minutes later I was sold. This is so simple and so effective. No settings, no menus. And I love that the curtain for visitors is just an ordinary page to be edited in the editor. Only idea for improvement: make it possible to rename the page. At the moment the plugin looks for the slug almost-ready-temporary. But that would probably mean a settings page, so I’m not sure it’s worth it. Conclusion: I have tried several Coming Soon plugins, and all of them were either overkill or commercialized or both. So the simplicity of Almost Ready Temporary Page is a welcome change.
