   We have a lot of users on our forum. BBPress notifications were not going out because we were over our hosting limits for email. Among other things, this plugin forces BBPress to send a separate email to each user (instead of one massive email that BCCs all subscribers). We combined this with a email queue plugin, and now we are sending out emails to hundreds of users and staying under our hosting provider’s email limits. Woohoo!

   This plugin absolutely fixes the “issues” that bbPress created when they switched to their bcc setup for subscribing to forums and topics! bbPress bcc idea has its positive side, but it also has a negative side, in that it “breaks” some mailing service systems. AsynCRONous bbPress Subscriptions FIXES that! This plugin NEEDS to be incorporated into bbPress core! This is the way the subscriptions should work — in the first place!! And the author’s support of this plugin could not be better! THANK YOU, Markus!!!

   By default, the bbPress forum reply notification emails were not being delivered to any forum subscribers. This plugin fixed that, immediately. Upon installing the plugin, the reply notification emails will just work.

   When I discovered that bbpress BY DEFAULT bcc’s all of the participants of a topic in an e-mail – revealing their e-mail address when viewing the full header of a new topic modification I was shocked. WordPress and BBpress use bbpress use bbpress in their support forums and have made this fix for themselves – but not the CORE. WHYW?!? I don’t know. I’m just glad that this plugin was available as a quick-fix and hope that WordPress will WAKE UP about this obvious flaw and fix it for everyone.

   The stupid change in bbpress to the bcc option totally broke my site functionality; I created a [email protected] email, and yes, emails were being sent to that address, but the actual person who created the bbpress topic never received an email.. i wasted 8 hours of my life trying to fix this problem, then I found this plugin… in 10 seconds it solved the entire problem… THANK YOu Markus, and a small “screw you” to bbpress for changing that.. they should at least give one the option of how they want their emails handled..
