Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price.

I left a negative review because I was sharing my experience of attempting to use this plugin and wanted to save other the time and mistake of trying to use this plugin. Despite my negative experience the developer managed to get my review move to the support forum, but I was NOT requesting support. I saw this as an attempt to silence me. He also messaged me asking me to increase the number of stars. The fact is that I wasted a lot of time on this plugin as it is recommended all over the web and on YouTube videos. So I left a review crediting the author for their work and even mentioning that they still do work and have other plugins, but clarifying that the plugin no longer works with WordPress because WordPress has has structural changes made to it that make this plugin incompatible. When a plugin does not work I do not blame the developer, I assume that I made a mistake, I disable all other plugins, try to uninstall and re-install, only then did I come back to the WordPress site and read other negative reviews. I then found an alternative called Remove Footer Credit that did exactly that. I am part of this community and I think it is my duty to report my experiences to save other members of this community from wasting their time. I also have a right to free speech, the developer does NOT say “WARNING this plugin only works for themes up to 2021” instead it looks like a plugin that has not changed in a while and says “This plugin works on all classic default WordPress themes (and child themes) including … “ Many people do not know what “classic” means in WordPress themes, they do not know what block design is, all they know is that they have this credit to WordPress and they want it gone. The look online find videos offering a solution which is this plugin. If I had a developed a utility for Windows7 which was incredibly popular with over 20,000 downloads, but I decided not to develop for Windows10 and above, I would make it extremely clear that was the case. Most people will not read the reviews because they saw videos and webpages recommending the plugin, they my look at the “above the fold” data and see Version 1.6.2 Last updated 4 months ago Active installations 20,000+ WordPress version 4.6 or higher Tested up to 6.9.4 PHP version 5.6 or higher and think it is current. This developer chooses to not alert people, they say what it CAN do but NOT that it has not worked with WordPress produced themes since 2021. They could argue that I should of read the review and seen their scathing comment to the last person who left a 1 star review. So imagine my disappointment to find that the developer move my comment to a support thread and got me a no reply email saying Support Moderator wrote: @rickc4 Please do not use a review to report a problem or seek support. Raise a support topic instead. I was NOT seeking support, I wasted a lot of time attempting to get this plugin working, it does not work, the developer does not make that clear and I am sharing my experience. I went back to the review page to find it GONE, I looked at other plugins and it seems that I am no longer allowed to leave reviews, preventing free speech is not acceptable. If this review is not posted and my posting privileges are not restored I will simply post this and the former review on as many sites as I can. I respectfully advise the author to make it very clear that this is a legacy plug-in if they want to avoid negative reviews of people sharing their negative experiences. Blaming the user is not acceptable when you publish a plugin that does not support any themes since 2021 and attempting to silence them will never go down well.

Doesn’t support past twentytwentyone, so none of the default WordPress themes are supported.

the plugin does not seem to suppress the html block <div class="site-info">... </div> in general… somehow only special strings… therefore unfortunately not universal… that can others better
