Biggest opportunity: Swap “video gallery”, “videos” and “youtube gallery” for “wistia”, “youtube shorts” and “youtube”. “video gallery” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “wistia” sits at #7 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “videos” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “youtube shorts” sits at #8 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “youtube gallery” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “youtube” sits at #14 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →4.1%
of downloads still active
At least 1K of 24.3K lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median Media plugin keeps 0.8%, across 2,324 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Media plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 3 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Swap “video gallery”, “videos” and “youtube gallery” for “wistia”, “youtube shorts” and “youtube”.
- One page off on “youtube video”. #12 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.

This plugin is almost perfect but bizarrely lacks a scroll bar for users on the front end of any embedded playlist. Instead the sidebar list of video only scrolls with the mouse movement which isn’t intuitive or useful at all.
