High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 14+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 3.3.2, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

This plugin hasn’t been updated in two years, and it still works. It’s pretty basic, but it’s free, you can categorize your FAQ and it’s quite easy to style. It isn’t full of shiny bells and whistles but not too many plugins are solid enough that they can go through two years of WP updates without breaking. Five stars for not being full of over-ambitious half-done features, and for just getting the job done.

Relies on shortcodes to build the page(s) and is not very flexible, but does do what it promises. Worked well enough for me to install and use.

This plugin is very easy and simple to set up and has a nice expand/close jQuery effect. It would win a 5th star when it would provide additional features as I requested in the support forum 🙂 You can see it in action on my blog : http://www.dondusang-paris.fr/foire-aux-questions/ — webmaster of DonduSang-Paris.fr
