Pure Chat – Live Chat & More!

How well this listing is tuned to rank in WordPress.org search, on the factors an owner controls. Not popularity, optimization.

Directory searches this plugin turns up in, and which way each one is moving. WordPress.org publishes no history of search positions, so this starts the day we first tracked a keyword and never backfills.

wp.org is where the directory puts the plugin for that search. On merit is where it would sit if results were ranked on rating, support and updates, without the install boost. The last column is how far the wp.org position moved, from our first reading in the last 90 days to the latest.

6 searches this plugin appeared in over the last 90 days, 3 listed. 3 left out as unrelated or noise (years, numbers, stray words). 4 of its tags aren't in the top 24 for their own search.

Directory rank vs rivals

wp.org popularity rank over time · higher is better · when a rival's line climbs above yours, they've overtaken you

How often this plugin actually ships. A steady rhythm is the maintenance signal a single "last updated" date can't show.

Share of active installs on each version of this plugin · 59% run the current release. Green is the current release; a big slice on older versions is a user base that has stopped updating.

Crossed into this band 9 months ago; a band this size takes about a year or more to cross, which places it about 50% of the way through.

15 of the last 25 four- and five-star reviews came from accounts created within a month of posting the review, and 9 of those landed between 2017-08-16 and 2017-09-15.

Registering a wp.org account just to leave a review is common and often entirely legitimate. The share here is unusually high for the sample, so it's worth keeping in mind while reading the reviews.

Adds a lot of overhead, which can not be optimized – slows your site down. Good luck trying to speed optimize your site if you use this. Nice render blocking scripts dynamically loaded.

Doesn’t work on my website even if I followed the installation procedure step by step. Technical support is poor.

It works grate, but it does add a bit of extra time to to load your website when enabled. It uses Javascript, so that is heavy weight. I do like the dashboard and mobile app, no issues with those. This topic was modified 7 years, 4 months ago by Gingerbread Man.

Steer clear, it seemed to be a great plugin but it slows your site to the point of no return and when removed it basically deleted my site front page. FAB I’d suggest having a look for other options before installing this plugin. NO response since initially posting my first review 2 months ago.
