Install count doesn't reflect chosen adoption
70K+ installs but only 15 reviews: about 2.1 per 10,000 installs, where plugins people pick from the directory typically sit above 10. The install count also held flat for months and then climbed several tiers within weeks, the shape of a distribution change rather than organic adoption. Install bases built through bundling or preinstallation look like this. That is a legitimate way to ship software, but it means the install count says little about how many users chose this plugin.
Not a judgment of the plugin itself. We keep it off install-based leaderboards because the count isn't a popularity signal here.

Biggest opportunity: Swap “wordpress email builder” and “email template” for “stock alert” and “email designer”. “wordpress email builder” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “stock alert” sits at #14 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “email template” isn't earning its slot: it only gets you to #21. “email designer” sits at #17 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →12%
of downloads still active
At least 70K of 569.2K lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median Email & Marketing plugin keeps 0.9%, across 1,295 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Email & Marketing plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 8 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Swap “wordpress email builder” and “email template” for “stock alert” and “email designer”.
- Slipping on “email template”. Down 8 places since 2026-09-19, now #21. Check what shipped around then, and what moved above you.

EmailKit is a fantastic plugin for customizing WooCommerce email templates without touching any code. The drag-and-drop builder makes it very easy to design professional and branded emails that match the style of your store. I especially like the flexibility it provides with different elements such as headings, images, buttons, order details, and social icons, which helps create clean and engaging email layouts. The interface is intuitive, so even beginners can build beautiful email templates in minutes. Another great aspect is the support team — they are responsive and helpful whenever assistance is needed. The plugin works smoothly with WooCommerce and offers great value for anyone who wants full control over their transactional emails. Highly recommended for WooCommerce store owners who want to improve the look and branding of their email notifications.

Had a few issues when I initially onboarded the plugin to my workflow. Posted a ticket and created an email thread with the support team and they promptly replied and sent over updated revisions to their code that solved the issues I had. I’m grateful for the team’s diligence and hard work! Plugin is now a great addition to my website. This topic was modified 1 year, 7 months ago by dyim1.
